How to Feel Confident About Your Looks

We don’t want to look ourselves in the mirror, we are terrified of being photographed in certain situations or under unflattering angles or lightning, and sometimes we even use photo editors to remove “flaws” in our face or body. Fashion, social pressure and the habit of using unrealistic standards to compare ourselves to others are all enemies of self-esteem and can harm us more than we think. For that reason, it is very important to learn how to be confident about your looks.

According to Anand Mishra Tathastu Information, being confident about your appearance and accepting the way your body looks doesn’t mean to resign and do nothing about it. On the contrary, in order to feel more confident you need to always strive to make yourself a better person, and that also includes your appearance. But it is important to realize that there are some aspects of your body or face that we won’t be able to change. So we need to focus on what we can control, and accept what we can’t.

In other words, accepting doesn’t mean to sit arms crossed and that nothing ever changes. It means starting the day by loving yourself and realizing that there is beauty in your body as it is. An exercise that can help you is standing in front of a mirror, if possible without any clothes, and analyze every square inch of your body, paying attention to what you see and do what you feel.

You may feel some sort of rejection at the beginning, but after a few minutes, you’ll get used to it. Now start looking for aspects or details of your body that you like. Maybe be it’s your hair, or your eyes, or the way you smile. You’ll quickly see that there is much of your body that you indeed like and that many of the aspects you don’t find very appealing are either insignificant, a matter of point of view or under your control to change with exercise, smart dieting or flattering clothes or makeup.
